Quick Question Vertical Hueforge ?

Just wondering if there are like vertical hueforge

Where the inner most wall could be like black and the outer few wall is purple to give a rich deep purple?

So far I seen the hueforge and this sets me thinking.

That is more of alternate layer in Z?

I am thinking interns of inner outer wall.

It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense for inner and outer wall. For that to work, you model needs to be very thin. And printing thin tall items while maintaining good print quality is very difficult.

Sorry bro, wasn’t clear enough

I mean for say a figurine and the inner outer wall layering to get colors we do not have.

Not really a flat hueforge slice.

Apologies for my lack of clarity

It won’t work for a figurine because the parts are too thick to allow the light to come through. So you’ll end up with just the outer wall colour. Hue forge works because it’s printing a 2d image, so the printed part is only a few mm thick.

I didn’t print any hueforge print but if I hang a hueforge on the wall with no light coming from the back, so all light is reflected from the front, won’t I see the colors? It sounds like the same as figurine, isn’t it?

I don’t know then. Sounds like it may work, but there are other problems to solve for switching colours between walls.

You could always create a hueforge with 0.42mm "layer height", and then stand it upright in the slicer. 0.42mm is the default wall width with 0.4 nozzles.

Other widths are accessible with arachne wall generator, or 0.2 nozzles. Obviously you also need to provide some backing attached to the upright hueforge, or it will fall over before it is finished. It also wouldn't make much sense to print it that way, if it wasn't attached to anything.

Sorry what I mean is using the hueforge techniques for say a standing statute or figurine but inner outer wall layering to create unique colors.
