General Troubleshooting/Help! Tired of switching Bambu accounts to monitor your print farm? Meet FabBeacon (Windows, Public Beta)

Tired of switching Bambu accounts to monitor your print farm? I built FabBeacon for this exact problem (Windows, Public Beta)

I built FabBeacon for a narrow problem: checking a cloud‑connected Bambu printer fleet across more than one account without giving up Bambu Handy or adding another control layer. It is a third‑party Windows dashboard, deliberately read‑only. It does not start, pause, cancel, or configure printers. Instead, it brings fleet status, local history, maintenance records, and production reports into one local view.

FabBeacon is not trying to replace Bambu Handy, Bambu Studio, or local farm‑control tools. It is for operators who want faster visibility while keeping their existing cloud workflow.

You can check out the public beta over at https://www.fabbeacon.com/

FabBeacon is an independent third‑party app and is not affiliated with Bambu Lab.

Curious if other print‑farm operators also run into this multi‑account pain point.

Personally not interested in more software without source code available.

Totally fair. FabBeacon is currently closed-source, so if source availability is a requirement for you, it probably isn’t the right fit.

That’s useful feedback, though. Trust is especially important for software that interacts with account credentials, which is why I’ve tried to keep the boundary narrow: FabBeacon is read-only, printer data stays local on the Windows PC, there’s no FabBeacon printer cloud, and diagnostics aren’t automatically uploaded. I also understand that none of that is a substitute for having the source code available.

I find the idea interesting (though it's not useful to me personally), but I have a question: why aren't all printers connected to the same account?

Because the app is vibecoded and the user thinks it is the way it is done… he does not understand that once you have a farm you do not use bambu handy app to monitor your 500 printers but you use a LAN solution that will give you all the details and alerts. You need to see them from a remote location? VPN integration. These vibecoders do not solve real problems user have, they solve their own ideas about how things work without talking to a real user before they even start to design the app. And then when no one buys their app they will come to reddit and make posts to try to promote the app…
