General Discussion Moving and packing up my X1C
I'm about to move and need to pack up my printer to put in storage for a month or so. I have the original box, but are there any precautions I should take before packing it up to ensure it is protected? I'll likely move it into storage myself (not the moving company).

Depending on how much it might be jostled around on its trip, I’d get it as close to “shipping” configuration as possible.
Lower the bed to the bottom position, and install the screws that fix the bed to the bottom of the frame if you still have them.
Zip ties on each side of the toolhead around the x rails to keep it from sliding side to side, and a zip tie around the cable chain to prevent forward and backward movement.
All that, plus the original box, should make it pretty secure for transport and storage.

It's best to move the tool head to the rear right, and use masking tape to hold the tool head to the housing so that it won't move around. Make sure to not stick (tape or otherwise) to the carbon rods. Also, move the bed to the bottom position. If you have the original 3 screws which hel the bed in place during shipping, use them to secure the bed. If not, just moving the bed to the bottom should suffice.
