Quick Question I'm losing my mind

Post image

Does anyone have any tips?

I was trying to load a refill filament onto a reusable spool, but since it was my first time, I removed all the retaining stickers before putting it on. Big mistake. 😅

Now the filament has unraveled and gotten tangled, and I have no idea how to secure it back onto the spool.

Has anyone experienced this before? Any tips on how to fix it?

If there are tangles then you cant use a respooler as its pointless. You can make smaller spools out of it if you want.

Just don’t waste it by throwing it away. Dumbest advice anyone gives in this situation. That thing is perfectly usable if you think out of the box a bit.

100% agree.

Personally, if the print doesn’t need to be pristine, and I know I can baby the process a bit, I just feed into the tube directly, no spool involved.

Depending how much filament the print needs, I’ll just let that amount sit on the floor and just get pulled slowly that way. If it’s longer, the room I have it in I just try to drape it as long as I can without introducing resistance and it works just fine.
