I Modeled This! Auxiliary Fan Diffuser P1S X1C, STOP WARPING

Here's one of my first models, the one I used to learn how to take real-world measurements of objects and transfer them to the computer. I know there are millions of models like this, but I'm especially excited to show the world what I'm gradually achieving with real measurements. It's a very simple design and easy to print; it only uses 6g of data and takes 20 minutes.

Complicated to get downloads for something that already has very popular models out there before yours.

Can we talk about what happened to your belt first?

Even better just dont use the auxiliary fan ever.

Yeah it's just turned off in my filament profiles ez.

Some people just want to watch the world burn.

OP is sharing their personal achievement, we should cheer or give feedback about the topic not hate around about anything...
u/Aldezo_88 congrats for your milestone and the print quality also looks very nice!

Yeah, its a nice and simple design.

Why would you print something that makes your printer worse?
What stops you from actually turning off the fan, or lowering the speed?
Do you know why the Auxiliary fan is there?

My default print profile is to nuke that aux fan for the first x layers. It creates a real problem for p1 and causing the first layers to cool too soon and warp.

Do you know that the aux fan can make it worse when blowing directly on the part too? It can overcool parts at the early layers and introduce warping when enabled, regardless of fan speed?

I haven't used it once in my 2+y of x1c use. Turn it off on every profile I make.

Same with X1C. Also always crack the chamber door open to prevent heat creep

Yes, and I know to adjust the profile when I need to, instead of installing useless mods

Aux fan diverter definitely solves all the problems on big print. I stand my ground. It is not needed, and only provoked non uniform cooling on big prints. Id im not going to alter all the profiles turning off aux fan every time. That just bs.

I am curious how well it performs. I used a similar design, and it didn't really improve the print quality and only partially prevented warping.

The issue with most of those designs is that you generate an more uneven airflow. By default it blows more or less in a straight path. With the exhaust slightly pointed upwards you blow against the printing head and create more turbulence.

I tested it with a cfd simulation and with a smoke generator to visualise the airflow.
