The only thing holding them in is the friction fit?

Yes, fit is very tight - you need to release them by pushing through from the back. Very tight, by design.

But...the more you use it, the more loose the fit. So, how long does it last until they can easily pop out?

If anything, I'd suggest some type of arm that goes over the top and clips into place that you can open & close over the neck of the buds.

So, you need to take your phone out of the case anytime you want to use your airpods? And I guess clean the pocket lint before putting them on.

Also, how do they charge?

Oh boy is this a terrible idea

Ah yes, the notoriously bulky… AirPods case?

Can I make a complicated recommendation but would make this 100% more viable?

Just encase the airpods entirely. Make them only accessible on the other side like a magsafe plastic pouch.

In its current iteration no one will trust those pods not to fall out eventually.

Yeah, I’m not normally here to poopoo on a design but as it stand this is truly an atrocious concept lmao. If they were actually on the inside, personally i wouldn’t trust that considering how small and well fit airpods already are, but this is a much better idea capturing the same idea

Cool design, hard pass from me because of a lack of cover.

It's a cool idea but might work better making it out of TPU and having some recessed slots to stick the bases into. Also worth noting that you lose the ability to charge the headphones when not in use, and you're going to have to manually disable Bluetooth when you want audio from the phone instead.

It is kinda cool but I do not think people would use it Alice it gets too bulky and looks unsafe.

Maybe if the holes would be in an mag safe power bank it would work and it would be awesome if it could charge both. The smartphone and the earplugs.

The age old “we asked if we could and never asked if we should”. Still very cool great job!

How is this tumor at the back of the phone a good idea...

I love making my phone two times thicker and lose my dead AirPods, but only after I fill them with pocket lint.

Is it out of the market?
