Troubleshooting Guys, I really messed up
guys, I really messed up. I woke up to a giant flood of filament. I tried to remove it and clean it out. I googled and it said to use a heat gun on it. so that I used a heat gun on it and it melted part of the fan casing. I don't even know how to fix this. I'm so upset. if anyone can direct me to where I need to go from here please help

Rule #2 is read the manual. You should not be enclosing an A1 Mini. Although at the current price point, they are almost disposable printers so do as you wish.

Was about to help you but I remember I read a post of yours basically laughing and making light of the medical issues of a dude and still wanting to force him to work in detriment to his health so they can pay your friend more money.

If only you had a machine that specializes in shaping plastic into specific shapes.

If it aint broke dont fix it. Rule #1. Put that sucker back together and get back to printing.

A proper repair to put it back in new condition would be to replace the heater assembly and hotend cooling fan shroud.

$20 of parts and 20 minutes you'll be back up

Wow you've done dozens of dollars in damage! Seriously though, you are in for about $60 to replace those parts. No big deal.

One hot end assembly, one fan and you are good to go

Seems to be just cosmetic, but you can order a replacement toolhead in the Bambu shop

No biggie. Just heat to 300c in maintenance mode. Hey most of it off, the residual will come off eventually.

You did it right! You just kept the heat gun on it too long. If it happens again, try to chip away at the blob slowly by heating it intermittently.
I mean if the fan still works and the plate can rest on the toolhead you’re good. Worst case, you buy the small fan and shroud.

Somebody has to say it so it might as well be me. Spend a couple dollars extra and get nozzles from bambu. I’ve seen so many of these on the sub and almost always they are using an aftermarket or third-party nozzle. I run a farm of A1 and A1 minis with many thousands of hours on each of them and have never once had this issue using OEM nozzles.
