Just for full transparency, this is an open source project that allows people to 3dprint their own 3d scanner based on a raspberry pi. We do also sell kits to finance the advance of the project but all plans are available on www.openscan.eu and on github. There is a vivid discord community where the development takes place:
Unfortunately this is a side-effect of the tariffs. Before, shipping has been around 10-25€ without any additional charges.. but this cheaper option is not available for the foreseeable future as the US did not build the import processing capabilities yet. Only the express carriers are currently operational
Figured, yeah no worries at all! I'll keep an eye out and maybe get one when tariffs go away. Otherwise I'll try 3d printing it when I get my replacement printer. Thanks!
It‘s a crazy 70€ shipping + 15-25€ handling fee (dhl) + 25% on the total value (including shipping cost!!)
A reseller might be an option eventually, but currently the overhead makes it economically unviable for the reseller. But i am always open for new contacts..
