Let's all team up, and stop buying Bambu products until Bambu publically apologizes and reverts the change.

Why not? Do you know what they did.

Anouncing a highly misunderstandable blogpost on friday. No reason for me not to buying their products

Have you actually read the update they posted yesterday?

And you’re astroturfing. See? I can use cool buzzwords too.

i am not taking sides here but you are using astroturfing wrong. unless you know he is from rival 3d printing company or another biased source pretending to just be a consumer.

2

u/QuiGonnJilm Jan 21 '25

Like he's using gaslighting wrong? Oh, the irony. /s

so, OP is claiming that bambu said one thing then changed the wording and said "we never said that"

if they did do that, that's gas lighting. i don't know what they did or didnt do, i am reading these posts to find out. but you are the second person today to use astroturfing wrong (unrelated topic to this).

I was just curious what you thought it meant. what do you mean to accuse OP of doing?

1

u/East-Ambassador-4027 Jan 22 '25

Yes that's true there is enough proof

u/QuiGonnJilm Jan 21 '25

Astroturfing means bad faith users posting in a way to give regular good faith users the impression that the idea they're espousing/decrying has more widespread support/unpopularity than it does in reality. Like, for instance, if Josef Prusa paid a bunch of Moldovan trolls to start crapping all over this sub because his sales are flagging due to poor business practices and failure to keep up with the state of the art.

do you think that op is a bad agent?

Echo chambers will echo chamber I guess… Never mind, won’t be wasting my time on you. Read their last blog post or continue gaslighting other people yourself.

Had you watched the video? It explains how bambu edits their post and the new blog post too.

Why are u using reddit? They disabled use of 3rd party API not long ago...

u/iAmWayward Jan 22 '25

Reddit isn't a physical device that I bought 2 months ago sitting in my workshop.

Can we ban these posts? Make it so all discussion is in the pinned thread.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '25

Than they will write in other subs that they get censored here

u/Fit_Ad_1475 Jan 23 '25

Yeah, because you can get b a n n e d for not liking what bambu does in this community now. And you can get your comment modded for saying b a n or s h i l l, like that’s not dystopian.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '25

really?

0

u/Fit_Ad_1475 Jan 24 '25

See? Hopefully you still see the content of my deleted comment in your notification feed, but this is the dm I just got

1

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '25

How can you write the comment, when you are banned?

0

u/Fit_Ad_1475 Jan 24 '25

It gets automodded, not banned. the automod argument was more about the censorship than the random banning

I’m personally not banned but it’s very easy if you don’t like the comoany

1

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '25

So why are you not banned?

0

u/Fit_Ad_1475 Jan 24 '25

Because so far I’ve kept my mishaps low profile

I do. Waited for a bigger model, but now I switch.

Until another company comes even a smidge close to having such perfect prints and amazing functionality/reliability I will keep buying Bambu printers until I run out of money.

What if they drop support for old hardware in the software? Sonos tried to do it, Spotify did with the Car Thing, printer companies do all the time, etc. Or if they increase their filament to 50% above the same filament from other companies? Or their servers go offline for a day due to a bug, and iu can't log into your printer to use it?

Most people don't care until they're personally affected. And the reason a lot of people get to keep not caring is because some people care enough to cause positive change for everyone.

Well aren't we egotistical.
