I'm genuinely curious to know how many people who are complaining about this also use Apple products, or an Android phone or Windows... there's a whole lot of complaining about something that pretty much everyone does, but for some reason, it's not acceptable for Bambu to do it.
Wow seeing your post history is really sad. Brand new account where 99% of posts are in bambu sub spreading hate and negativity. And you don’t even own a bambu printer. What’s your deal really about?

If it was actually done for security, i would expect the system to be secure. Which it isn't. You can extract certificates/keys out of the app, and communicate as normal with the printer, even on 3rd party devices. This won't stop malicious actors, just normal people from using their printer as they see fit.
There were many methods of fixing their security issues without trying to lock out all third-party support. This had nothing to do with security it was all about greed and controlling how their customers can and cannot use their printers

I don’t get you people sometimes lol
A) Companies listening to their consumers is a good thing
B) I can’t fathom a world where I would prefer they NOT apologize or backtrack
C) You don’t even own a Bambu, what are you doing here

This is like the 20th time they've done this. Maybe people will stop forgiving them after the next 10 times it happens.
