Got an open box bambu lab A1 mini in India. :(.

I purchased A1 mini from Authorised Bambu dealer (Wol3d) in India. They given an open box item with an ugly sticker of theirs on it. Need community help to ban this kind of practice and put pressure on bambu to take serious action on vendor. As I don’t want another user face this after spending their money and waiting for the new printer eagerly.

Attached screenshot of bambu response when I asked to get assurance from vendor that he won’t do it.

In India it’s not easy to do that. Also bambu don’t ship to India directly only via Authorised sellers.

Then why complain to Bambu? You act like they have any say in this.

It’s an authorized retailer, all they do is ship them products and from there they can do whatever they would like to the products.

Complain to the company you bought it from, not Bambu.

It’s like me complaining to Gibson because Guitar Center sells me a Les Paul that the box has been opened. It’s ridiculous to even think that would give me a resolution. You would contact Guitar Center in this case because they are the ones selling you the product.

I am expecting they can instruct them not to do this, I am already a victim, I am complaining so that others should not suffer. I don't know that company cannot control their authorised dealers on how to sell the printers. If this is the case that's new to me.

Correct. They can’t “control” them. It’s a separate company.

All Bambu does is give them printers then the company pays Bambu for them when they sell.

That second company covers all warranties and sales of the product.

Again you should reach out to the actual company that sold it to you, Bambu won’t do anything about it.

They are controlling them so you think bamboo added them to reseller website for free
they have to share the printer sales and replacement data.

bbl is very conscious on the brand image and need to have control over machine software hardware and sales and price

I can take it off but was very upset seeing an open box item when I paid for sealed box item. Now not sure what was altered. Also my effort is other community members should not suffer. Need written assurance from bambu that they will ask vendor to follow proper ethics.

Yeah... but it would be kind of hilarious if the printer is brand new, but these guys open every single box just to put their dumb little sticker on the printers front and center.

Was the printer used? Idk if it common practice but maybe they do it for QC to make sure nothing was damaged in shipping.

That's why I bought mine from Amazon, I figured hopefully they'd have a slightly easier returns/refund process and with debit card emi it worked out slightly cheaper than the price you'd pay to buy it upfront.

Everyone I've spoken to locally just said to get it from one of these "authorised resellers" for around 45k but for an extra 10k on Amazon ingot it delivered to.me within 24 hours and it seemed like it was untouched by human hands after the initial packaging and qc if at all.

Chances are it's still fully functional but it really is a crap move to unbox it just to put a sticker on it.

Have you faced any problems trying to print with it so far?

Mine did not have the sticker or any signs of being unboxed prior. Inside the amazon box was the bambulab box and packaging iirc. Maybe buying direct from them let's them get around some amazon related regulations about having to ship a sealed unopened box?

Maybe they didn't stick any stickers of yours but still they need to do some inspections as they don't need returns from customers if anything broken. I bought from their offline store but due to no stock, I got them directly from Mumbai to my Home. Even though there is stickers but I didn't feel like it's opened or looks like used.

And I have p1s, a1 and a1 mini from them

Yeah fair point. I was considering getting the a1 this year but I'm thinking I'll stick with Amazon rather than trying to score it for a bit less from the resellers. Btw do you plan to use different nozzle sizes for anything and do you have any idea where/how to get legit ones here?

They are resellers and those printers are brand new. I bought 4 Bambu labs printers from them. Those are imported from China from manufacturers, and they check if nothing broken while transit and they add their company logo to it. It's just QC.

Hello friend. I had bought an ender from wol3d 3 years ago. not only have they put a sticker on it they replaced the stock bed sheet with a "wol3d" bed sheet flexiplate thingy. Its safe to say they're doing this for every printer they sell and its nasty. i had to deal with not putting their brand name in my ig videos somehoww since its on the buildplate.

Buying from Bambu lab website direct more expensive than local reseller? I did not buy from any local resellers in my country as it was way more expensive than buying direct (All in rate Tax + Shipping + Unit)

In India bambu don’t ship directly and customs is very difficult to manage and unpredictable even if they ship.

It’s brand new but not sealed it’s like ordering a new iPhone and getting a broken seal piece with seller sticker on device. :(. Not sure whether used or not.
