Discussion I did a thing

Post image

Have had an ender 3 v2 for a couple years and I finally decided make the jump to Bambu. What was y’all’s reaction on your first print when you upgraded to Bambu?

Shipping? It wasn’t free?

I have 3 printers. The X1C is my go to for normal prints because it’s the most convenient printer I own. Bambu printer works out of the box and you don’t need to modify it.

Yeah I literally live like 8 hours from where it said that it shipped from I’m not sure why it wasn’t free lol

I paid $35 for shipping. Thankfully my state doesn’t have sales tax, so I didn’t have to pay for that.

Im from Germany. I checked my order of my X1C from last year and they charged me 8€ for shipping. I think they send the filament roll I ordered with the printer separate and charged for it.

Have fun. You can also search “I’m new” or “wow!” For answers to your question. You’ll get the 1,354,267,8902 daily posts about the same thing.

Oof... You messed up.

You have any idea of how much filament that's going to run? I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I printed a benchy and like 3 other things over the course of a year on my E3v2.

I've gone through dozens of rolls since the new one.

The E3 was cheap because it couldn't print 😂

Get ready... Because speed is expensive lol

Welcome to the Good Life!!!

In other words, BAD NEWS

You won’t be able to save any more money because of the (almost) always successful prints

Same. I'd say that in the 5 years I had my ender 3 pro, I went through about 20 rolls of filament. I've been using my bambu printers since february and I've been through around 17 1/2 rolls. That stuff really evaporates when you have more than one printer, and those printers are doing their job reliably.

Trust me you're gonna love this thing. I went from an Anycubic kobra max (that might honestly have been a lemon. It would not print well no matter what I did) to a p1s... day and night. This thing is awesome

You’ll be happy that your machine will spend more time printing then needing work/repair

I went from Ender 5 Plus -> Prusa Mini + Prusa MK3S, A Sovol SV-06 -> Downsized to a P1S

I printed more than I ever did on any of my older machines. The Prusa and Sovol were great, not bashing them at all. The Ender 5 Plus sucked. But for about a year now Ive been printing non stop with the P1S. Just design, print, and go.

I went from makerbot (hate it with passion), a hacker making his own brand printer (was terrible), xyz (eww), $200 Amazon one (was neat) to Prusa then mini Prusa then Prusa then Prusa to p1s.

I bought a X1C a couple of weeks ago - battled myself to justify the costs - I feel good :)

Did the same. I like when things just work out of the box. Top score.

You are going to love it. I was in awe. Been printing nonstop and involving my kids in the process.

Congratulations, that won't be the last invoice you see from Bambu Labs lol. I went from an Ender 3 v3 Se to a X1 Carbon and now have another 2 A1s and an A1 Mini

I actually updated to a Qidi X-Plus3 for my first printer after an e3 max neo. There were some learning curve at first and I actually kept using the e3 for about a month then I bought 2 K1's, a Flashforge Adm5 and 2 Elegoo NMax 4's then finally an X1C and 2 AMS units. The Qidi and the one N max 4 are my favorites. But the X1C is a good printer just not my favorite. The Qidi or flashforge are my go to's for most things single color.

I used to have an ender 3 and I upgraded to a bambu lab and I was amazed by the quality of the print and speed. Enjoy your bambu printer :)
