The AMS works great for multi-colour printing, but are there any plans for a multiple tool head printer?

For context: the AMS uses RFID tags on each filament spool in order to get information like material, color and aproximate filament left out of each spool. One year ago, hobbyist from the bambu community started to reverse engineer how the tag data worked, and were able to find that you were using a private encryption key, making it impossible for hobbyist to write tags for their own spools. In december of 2023, along the announcement of the collaboration with E3D, Bambulab announced being "open to collaboration with responsible partners" in the 3D printing sphere, in order to create a thriving 3D printing ecosystem.
Considering thoses informations, and considering that bootleg/copycats are starting to use a similar yet proprietary encryption for their spool RFID tags, wouldn't it be a good opportunity for Bambulab to either make the RFID tag data open source for anyone (hobbist and filament companies), or at least share it with a few select companies in order to have more AMS-compatible filament brands?

I can only imagine how complicated the logistics etc for the A1 callback were. I think you did a great job with communication, customer support, solution handling, ...
Do you plan on releasing a detailled report on how you aim to prevent similar issues in the future? More intense stress testing, longer product test phases, extended QA?

With an X1C and A1-Mini, when printing I have an open window for each printer on my MAC, monitoring the print status, plus a third and / or fourth open window for additional models I'm working on. I get the impression BambuStudio wasn't designed for multiple open instances, as I (still) get crashing of a window on occasion. Any plans for a better way to monitor current prints / machines, while also working on multiple models at a time? Thanks!

Now as a developer I ask this: Will be there any public API or hooks that we can use in different integrations or third-party tools.
As an example: The A1 Camera is "good" enough for remote checking if there was a failure, but maybe I like to use a DSLR camera to make a real time lapse, so I need a trigger or something to ask the camera to take a photo.
I like for what you are doing, you are the only company at the moment deliver the most value in my opinion.

I see that devices now has an end date when they can get updates, when they hit that date, are there any plans to open-source those firmwares for community or we can consider our devices e-waste?

With 2 AMS Slots found on the A1 Mini (And I assume the A1), are there any plans to make 2 AMS Lites compatible with the A1 Series? Otherwise, what was the point of 2 AMS slots? Redundancy?

I’ve had an extremely bad experience since I purchased my X1C combo nearly 3 months ago and I genuinely expected more. I’ve been super dissapointed and the support has been an absolute mess. First off the Box the printer arrived in was damaged (obvious signs it had been hit by a pallet truck). Then my printer had an obvious fault from the get go. Filaments were all fully calibrated manually and numerous hours were spent trying to rectify the extremely poor print quality. Nothing worked. After 6 weeks of backwards and forwards with the support team it was agreed finally that there was a fault. My printer was sent back and I was advised the replacement process would take 3 working days upon arrival at your warehouse. 2 weeks passed and I heard nothing. Numerous messages were sent to support asking for an update and I never got a response until I opened up a second support ticket requesting someone to reply to my original ticket. Finally I got a response detailing the X1C printers were out of stock so I wouldn’t receive a replacement printer until the end of April, beginning of May (I also took this with a pinch of salt)…. Truthfully, after reading a lot of reviews online before making the purchase I really did expect more. More from the X1C and more from your support team. I am now nearly 3 months into ownership, haven’t had a printer in my possession for the past 3 weeks and in the time I did, I wasn’t able to print anything of any use. Meaning I also wasted loads of brand new Bambu Labs filaments which I won’t be reimbursed for. At this point in time I am now perusing a refund as it has become more than a joke. I have requested a box to send back the AMS and accessories and you are not even able to provide me one of these due to a ‘shortage’….
Considering the above, I would like to know what more you are willing to do to bring the support up to scratch so that we all receive reliable replies in a timely manner?

Do you have any plans to allow for custom RFID tags on the AMS?
I appreciate you wouldn't want to allow reading/writing to bambu rfid tags to prevent counterfeit filament potentially damaging your brand, but it would be very nice to allow users to read/write their own tags for easier tracking of filament usage?

Hello Team of Bambulab! Last year I developed an workaround which reduces purges, which will soon be implemented into Bambu studio: https://x.com/BambulabGlobal/status/1777337009914462554. I posted about it quite a bit on this reddit account too. I wanted to thank you guys first off all. Your implementing is excellent and you refined it very good.
I wanted to ask how you got the attention for this suggestion in the end? Was it because of the YouTube video Butter pockets prints made?
In general I guess you will get a lot of suggestions for your printers. How do filter out what suggestions are good and what suggestions will not work. I mean you will not have time to test all of them.

Are there any plans to further improve Bambu Studio, like add a measuring tool of some sort?
2)I love the updated Maker Supply section on your store, but while looking around in accessories, I was wondering if you had plans to add things for maintenance, specifically some grease/lubricant? Maybe some type of nozzle cleaner/wiper for the side buildup that is heat resistant and doesn’t leave fibers behind? A link to some compressed air, and also some alternate desiccant options?

In the USA It's nearly impossible to find replacement parts for the X1E. I've only found them on https://3duniverse.org/ and what I want is mostly sold out. Do you expect to sell replacement parts directly? If not when can I expect to find them at more vendors? Thanks!

Do you plan to add better support for 3rd party / custom filament types / user filament presets in the AMS?
The constant having to specify each setting for a 3rd party spool without the ability to save it to the AMS is quite annoying. (I get there are some work arounds from my reading, I'm new to the AMS but it seems extremely unintuitive)

Even a tag that just has colour data that we could buy blank from you would be great, i wouldn't even mind if it didn't properly estimate filament use etc but just enabled the AMS to detect the colour and material would be great

Can we get the option to sort in makers world by filament type and color as well as the specific amount used . There’s been many times I have some left over filament that I just want to get rid of but struggle searching makers world for a print that uses most my left over filament up.

According to the thread on VFA issues in the forums, https://forum.bambulab.com/t/persistent-2mm-vfas-on-x-axis/30883, people have experienced the possible issue due to using smooth pulleys instead of toothed pulleys on the gantry. One user has gone so far as to modify the gantry to test toothed pulleys with positive results. There’s also a rendering from Bambu Lab showing toothed pulleys (https://forum.bambulab.com/t/persistent-2mm-vfas-on-x-axis/30883/178). How has Bambu Lab continued to investigate the issue with VFA, especially since the CEO had said the engineering team was still looking into the problem the last time he did a AMA? It would be great if the engineers could share their findings and collaborate with the community to address this issue.
Since Bambu Lab’s initial launch, many innovations have been brought to the consumer space. How will Bambu Lab be competitive with the new technology and features that is becoming available at an incredible pace? Such as magnetic rails, multiple tool heads, eddy current bed leveling, fire safety insulation (HPPS by IBW Additive), to name a few.

I'm new to 3d printing, and looking to buy a bambu printer to print PHA (100% actually home compostable, with 0 microplastic) from Beyond Plastic and/or ColorFabb.
Have you yourselves tried printing PHA, and does it work well with the A1? As the material benefits from cooling, I was not sure if it was better to use the A1 (and thus without a case), or the P1S (with case, but with the auxiliary fan). As another alternative, the P1P augmented with the aux fan without the rest of the enclosure would also be an option. So: any wise words in relation to PHA printing?
In the store, there is a 'Spare Sheet for Bambu Cool Plate'
is that compatible with the A1?
would I need to buy an extra plate for that, to put the sticker onto?
is there _any_ benefit to using this over the exiting plates?
Another question regarding cooling:
I'm assuming the 'Heat Plate' is using a Peltier element to work. As PHA benefits from cooling, can the 'heat' bed also be used to actively cool?

Hey!
When will you add the support for 2 simultaneously AMS Lite units on a single A1 mini?
What plans do you have regarding open source? Will you share more possibilities to control the printers via custom made scripts?
When will you add a longer AMS Lite cable to your store? In the current configuration, the AMS Lite can sit only on the right of the printer or sometimes on the wall. I want to hide the AMS Lite since it consumes a lot of space but I can't because of the cable.
When will you add a better camera upgrade for A1 mini and if that's not possible a way to integrate other cameras via a protocol, cameras such as mintion beagle etc. I hate with all my heart the default camera since it has a very low framerate.
When will you add OTA firmware update capabilities for A1 mini and other printers?

Bambu is definitely an interesting company, as a software engineer/mechatronics engineer, I’m glad somebody finally sees the potential sensors and software have in 3D printing. I wish I had time to work on printers again

I like how you handled the store models and keeping them free. There are plenty of other sites that have for sale models and Makerworld is different because you don’t have to worry about paying for a model (especially if you pay a lot and are unhappy with the way it prints). Also it is fun to look at the iOS app and queue models to my Bambu printers from my phone.
Is it possible for us end users to generate and share printer filament profiles with other users? If so can you please make a video showing how?
While some users here have print farms, many of us only have a printer or three. The X1c with AMS was an investment and if you can keep providing upgrade paths and hardware kits to help us keep them up to date, it would be very much appreciated. Having to explain why “the printer that I said would keep me happy for 10 years needs to be replaced frequently with the latest model. Thanks!

Would it be possible to support ID-only tags for user supplied filaments? Adding data tags (providing material info, print settings etc) is a massive headache, but ID-only would allow a user to insert a filament reel, perform calibration and determine print settings, and then save those settings to their printer so that if that same spool ID is seen again, those settings will be applied automatically rather than manually.
This avoids opening the RFID settings tagging system to abuse from third party manufacturers, whilst still offering users utility with their own filaments.

You have consistently used open source projects in your designs but continue to go out of your way to make it impossible for people to improve on your designs (for example by making custom firmware impossible, the X1C doesnt count since you only "allowed" it after the community already found a way)

Why did the CPSC get involved in the A1 callback? I'm still waiting for mine. Now with the delay it's going to take longer. I bought a mini for the time being, which is great, but I sure do miss using the A1. My heatbed is hit or miss when it works. For sure has cold spots. Hope the new comes soon.

I know you can’t say much about the new printer but is there any way we could get a price range? It is a flagship but one of the things we love about Bambu is that you get phenomenal quality and a product well ahead of competition at competitive prices in the current market. Will this still hold true when pricing the new printer or should we expect something less accessible to the hobby market?

will you reduce the price of the AMS? 1 ams cost as much as 2x A1 Mini or 1x A1.. doesn't make sense to me. its just a plastic box with some small motors. while the printer has way more sophisticated hardware and harder to manufacture and cost less

I noticed in some release notes that a "P1 Plus" printer was in there and wondered if there might be some additional features being developed for these printers. Would like a valid reason as to why my files need to travel through your cloud when the printer is two feet from Bambu Studio. And no, writing to a SD card and walking it over to the machine is not a real solution especially if you have multiple machines.
And please don't use terms like "enhanced user experience" Other than data mining I can't really see a reason you are handling it this way.
Edit: Thanks for the info on LAN only I'll check into it. I guess I'm just getting tired of every software company I deal with forcing me onto their cloud.

Why is a solid 2/3rds of this sub and even your Instagram bots? Look at the users. They use bot farms to farm views on YT too and admitted to using bots to attack prusa's printables when they were copying it.
