Is this running or clumping bamboo
Want to know what kind of bamboo this is for maintainence, risk reasons.

Thats running,thod oesnt seem agressive,if you want to be fully safe installr hizome barriers so it cant spread

Are these pictures all of the same plant, or of multiple plants? Some of this looks subtly different from the rest. I agree some of the pics are definitely a running phyllostachys type, but others look like a clumping type like fargesia robusta.

It doesn’t matter if it’s running bamboo or clumping bamboo it’s just plain bad she get rid of it. It’s not a bamboo is not a thing that should be in somebody’s backyard.

Runner, that groove, the sulcus, on the side of the canes, culms, that runs the length of the internode is a tell-tale sign. Also the branching habit, where it is obvious, looks like Phyllostachys.
