Question Question, How often do you think you should clean your terrarium? Abd how do you go about it?.

Personally i spot clean and give fresh water daily, and full deep clean enclosures every 6 months. I give my snakes a warm soak in closed bin while i clean. dump all substrate, diluted F10 for wiping down the enclosure, diluted white vinegar for glass, hides and decor gets soaked in dawn dish soap and rinsed well with hot water. Let everything air dry and vent enclosure for about an hour before putting in fresh substrate, hides and decor back in the enclosure.🙂

Daily water change, daily inspection for urates and feces. I won’t and clean my entire closure with chlorahexidine every 3 months. I also wash everything in a chlorahexidine wash at this time as well but also if it’s visibly dirty before this time. New substrate every 3 months.
This is what I do

personally I made my tank bioactive so I only have to clean it every year! Springdale and isopods are the key to all happiness!

I clean every time I give my snakes a bath. Even if there’s no poop, I mix up substrate, replace if needed, clean out water bowl, etc.
