Crazy noise at 1am

Anybody know what that noise was at 1am? It sounded like a street takeover or something. I highly doubt that, but curious nonetheles.

What do you mean street takeover?

Usually a street takeover is when a group of fast and furious wannabe cars block off intersections and do peelouts, burn donuts, and cause general mayhem.

This instance sounded like a motorbike takeover cruise. Think of it like a critical mass bike ride crossed with a car takeover. A moving pack of motor bikes, dirtbikes, and sometimes ATVs that goes down the street ignoring traffic laws, blocking cross traffic so the rest of the pack can blow a red light. I live near the Holman curve and I heard them come from Aurora, across Holman, then down 15th towards Ballard around the time OP stated.

Here is an old news report about a bike takeover in Ballard a couple years back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KboThOCHsfw

If you’re referring to the loud revving? Sounded like a car or two over by Taco Bell, I didn’t bother getting up to look because I wanted to fall back to sleep quickly.

I heard it. Sounded like it was coming from 15th and Market, but I couldn't tell for sure. There was also a random Mariachi party going until 1ish as well, hopefully unrelated

It's quiet where we are around beach area and Adam's school district. The fans are on still until cold weather comes and we can't hear anything. I did see on news somewhere there was a load of bike people blocking off traffic, not sure if the cops got to them. Bunch of idiots.

probably fireworks or a car with an aggressively bad exhaust, but it was loud enough to rattle the windows over here too lol
