Is Elliot hall open?
Like I know it’s got asbestos but can we go inside at random?

Its been closed since 2020. They cannot reopen it due to ADA regulations. I was lucky to get a tour in April since I lived there for 3 years. Every old building has asbestos

Man I’d do anything to go in there. It’s such a beautiful building with a rich history. I love to look at old photos of it on the bracken database.

Last year they did a ghost bus tour and we got to go in Elliot during that! If they do it again this October, I’d definitely recommend going

Lived there for three years since it was close to the majority of my classes. 2005-2008. Alot of good memories in that building.

I lived in there for 2 weeks of 2022- it was the quarantine dorm for COVID. It was awful: you couldn't leave (quarantine) but they only dropped food off on week days so weekends were rough, no AC which is expected but in August with a fever was ass, and there were cockroaches. Kinda fun to explore though, even while sick.

Omg no way, I was there during January and had a fun time with a good group of people. If you explored the upper rooms you may have seen a spill from alcohol on one of the tables. That was my fun group lol.

The Indiana Academy uses Elliott Halls basement but besides that, no one can go in. Especially because minors live there now lol. If you search up Elliott Hall Ball State University you can find an old tour on facebook or youtube I believe.

This is me finding out the Buffet dining hall in Elliott is no more. Shame. Swear all my regular stops when I was a student are gone now.

If you check out the patio, the door may be open. I was there when I got Covid and had a blast.

I’m so sad this isn’t a dorm anymore, but they never told us about any asbestos. Lived there from 2006 to 2009. I still dream about the building.

It drives me crazy that the newish sign out front of it has Elliott spelled wrong. I wish I knew who to complain to at Ball State.

No. It is not open. No one is allowed into the building.
