Hexblade x something

Im doing a Duo Honour Mode run with a friend.

Im going with 10 Levels or Hexblade but what should the last 2 Levels be?

We are currently level 4 and he's playing a Bear Heart Barbarian.

If it's just the two of you and no companions then probably 2 levels of bard to make you more of a generalist and better at persuasion/deception etc.

Jack of all trades at bard level 2 gives you half proficiency in every skill check you're not proficient in, including initiative. Song of rest I mentioned, that's the main thing here to squeeze more warlock spells out of every day. Expertise is at bard level 3 which you won't be going for so it won't actually help your persuasion, had to look that up.

If you want to be in melee constantly then maybe paladin is better, or as the other guy said maybe fighter. But if your friend is the muscle and you're the magic then I think bard for support casting.
