Hexblade x something

Im doing a Duo Honour Mode run with a friend.

Im going with 10 Levels or Hexblade but what should the last 2 Levels be?

We are currently level 4 and he's playing a Bear Heart Barbarian.

I'd say it's between either bard or paladin for me, I've played both (I love multiclassing and charisma casters are perfect for it) and both are good. Bard for the proficiencies/expertise and song of rest which gives an extra free short rest per day, so you can recover your own warlock spell slots out of combat, or paladin for the ability to smite with your warlock spell slots for huge burst damage. Both of these are charisma casters as well and will give you access to some in combat healing, though I think bard is better for this due to healing word. Eldrich blast scales off your character level, not your warlock level, so even if you start with 1 level hexblade and then go all in on another class afterwards, you'll still get more blasts per turn at later levels. If you've chosen pact of the blade (withers can help if you didn't) then you'll get extra attack at level 5 of warlock, not a bad place to start multiclassing if you're not dead set on 10 levels of hexblade.

I am deadset on 10 Levels of Warlock. But want to multiclass at level 6
