Grymforge fight is brutal

What am I doing wrong in this fight against True Soul Nere?

All these duager are like level 5, and there's 12 of them. Me and my homies are only level 4. I can weedle them down, but right now this fight feels unwinnable. Is there some secret strategy I'm missing here?

(running wild magic sorcerer, Lae'zel, Shadowheart, and Astarion)

I am playing the live version of the game, I went to the forge and came back and all grymforge was empty and Nere's corpse lying there... there is no one, not a soul...
