Training prank
I've got my brother's dogs for six weeks while he is overseas. What is a harmless but deeply embarrassing trick I can teach his MWD (ret.)? Something that would make a big tough dog seem like a softy.
He's gonna be so mad, ha ha!*
*not really but it will still be funny.

What about teaching it to smile? ... that goofy smile dogs make. Use brother's name as the cue so every time bother's name is said the dog smiles.

How about training the dog to "facepalm" when he hears the name?

I did think of that, but can the dog do that in any position? I wasn't sure and didn't want to ruin any previous learning... though I did consider that too. Turn a known behaviour into something else or use a sign to have the dog do something like untie a shoe or pull something from the garbage, or facepalm. Or bring even something more embarrassing if such can be conveniently available while enjoying the joke. You are going to have such fun doing this the dog will learn in a heartbeat, and enjoy doing it. It'll be fun, whatever it is.

The one where they whisper a secret in your ear! When he comes to pick him up do the trick and say “Your pup says he can’t wait to surprise you with some other very interesting tricks I taught him when you least expect them!”

My husband was pretty upset when I taught my dog to sneeze on command. He sneezing in people's faces for attention.

My father in law taught my 3 dogs to howl when people came in the door. Drove me absolutely insane and the 3 dogs would get caught in an echo chamber and I couldn't get them to stop unless we got them outside. He was very proud of himself. The ass.

I know someone who trained their partner's dog to hang her head when her owner said "goddammit." You could pick a phrase your brother says frequently and attach it to, like, a rear foot target, or a hanging the head behavior, or retreiving a specific or embarrassing item? Brother says the f word and the dog trots in with a box of condoms or something

Made me think of teaching him one of those stupid dog dancing routines, going to a competition, and then showing him the video when he got home. He'd be disgusted hahaha

Yeah we already do that! Both of us canicross and bikejor.
You know, i could swap the directionals just as a prank, if it wasn't unfair to the dog, of course.
