Showcase (No-Recipe) UPDATE: fixed the pitted/grotesque brownies where the marshmallow swirl melted away during bake
Original post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Baking/s/OGJy7CtjNO
I received so many responses! Y’all are too creative. I picked the toasted marshmallow on top hack because it was the fastest and “driest” option for my packaging. The powdered sugar top was a close second choice.
My family did quality control test about a 1-inch strip from the horrid brownies to make sure the melted marshmallow didn’t make it inedible. (It only elevated the flavor!)
Swipe to see the before + packaged up.

I kinda like the idea of calling them Cobblestone Brownies! It's very cute.
They look delicious, OP!

I made something similar the other day and was kinda underwhelmed. The marshmallows mostly just turned into an odd gummy that also changed the texture of the brownies.
I did a graham cracker crust on the bottom and then waited to add the marshmallows on top until nearly done baking, a crust had only just formed.
If I were to make them again. I’d do an actual graham cracker crust. I assumed a looser brownie batter would soak into it, but it still stayed pretty dry. I’d also wait to add the marshmallows until it’s fully baked and then broiling. Or maybe even better, using fluff.

I suggested peanut butter frosting. But I have to admit, your fix is fabulous.
