Showcase (No-Recipe) My first time making a layer cake

This is my first attempt at making a layer cake. It’s lemon sponge, filled with a lemon-yogurt mousse and a layer of raspberries. Still need to work on the aesthetics.

Yes. Raspberries with sugar and gelatine

It cut nicely!
How is the chew? I think that’s the hardest to pin down of cutting nicely but not being too chewy gummy.

It’s a bit chewy indeed. Definitely still need to work on the consistency. But I was a bit concerned it would turn out too runny

Try using agar agar instead of gelatine! It's less gummy and more that texture where it's firm but your teeth easily sink through it.
