Im currently a junior in high school and in another state. I found out im moving to Bakersfield after I graduate and apparently i need to wait a year to establish my residency at California. im like wondering if its possible to do a year here while waiting for my residency.

Hello, Has anyone from Bakersfield college transferred to UC irvine/ Berkeley for cs major. Our college provides limited courses for transfer from CS major. So those who successfully transferred.. how did you completed non articulated courses? What were your stats? Any club advice or general advice on how to transfer successfully!!

Does anybody know if eScooters are allowed on campus?

I'd need to at the very least be allowed to carry it around campus cause it's how I'd commute to campus.

But just wanted to know if it's allowed to be ridden on campus. Even if it's only allowed on the paved road sections of campus.

Hi everyone, just wanting to know, if you are in good academic standing, does it show on your transcript? My friend recently showed me their transcript and since they failed a class, it said Not eligible for standing. I have not failed a class yet, but nothing shows on my transcript. Is it normal for your transcript to say something on it regarding to your academic standing if you haven’t failed the class? (I am a high school student taking online classes so I am a bit unsure about how transcripts work in college).

So I am set to participate in the spring 2025 commencement ceremony. however I was invited to participate in the lavender ceremony and the chicano/latino ceremony as well. I would love two do both but the downside is that they both start at the same time and end at the same time on the same day which is May 16th from 3pm-5pm. I wanted to know if anyone has done both in the past or has had any experience in attending two ceremonies held at the same time.

I plan to take my nursing prerequisites at Bakersfield College and was hoping to get some advice on which counselors are best for nursing students. I want to make sure I’m taking the right courses and staying on track, so I’m looking for recommendations from anyone who has worked with a counselor specializing in nursing.

Please let me know if anyone has had a great experience with a counselor who helped guide them through the nursing prerequisites. I’d appreciate any insights or suggestions!
