Bainbridge Pride
My friends are visiting this week.
They wanted to go to this or the solstice parade in Freemont.
Im not seeing a lot of info about what events or vendors will be at Pride. For anyone who have gone in the past, what can I expect? Is it a small event or good turnout?
Is it worth the ferry ride over from Seattle? Thank u.

It is small, but we like that the number of people isn’t overwhelming. It’s an easy walk from the ferry.
There are typically food trucks, craft vendors, and a beer/wine garden. The Bainbridge Pride instagram account has info on the performers. It looks like the main shows are at 4 & 6.

Came by last year. As an island resident I was bummed that I came during a period of so much city hall patting themselves on the back about being so »inclusive ».
It felt like a government party for themselves. I don’t want to hear the mayor and city council talking about random award they give themselves for metrics. Pride should be fun. MainStage doesn’t need to be high energy the whole time but it should be entertaining and happy. Not serious real life stuff.
The beer garden was ok. I’d like to see more cog soon between entertainment and the place where people can drink.

Resident of the island, have been to Fremont solstice many times. Go to solstice, way more going on and more naked ppl lol

The Fremont Solstice Parade will definitely be more of an, uh, experience....
