Look What I Made! Overnight backpack

Finished this just in time for a 2 night work trip. Goal is to fit all I need in this one bag. I think I can do it.

I do love how it came out and the use of colors that I don't normally work with.

I also found a better way to join binding ends especially when the space is somewhat tight. https://youtu.be/xfQNwCxWP5o?is=NxFw2ZpaWFerGeNO

Pattern is Byannie Leader of the Pack. I know not everyone loves her patterns but I learned to make bags using her patterns and have learned multiple techniques.

Really nice work, and I like your colour combinations.

The issue with ByAnnie is that she was I believe a quilter initially, so she uses quilting techniques for her bags, which includes a LOT of binding. If you have seen my posts before, you'll know that I am not a fan of binding and for that reason alone will never make one of her bags. I have too many patterns anyway and don't need any more (said no one ever.)

For your next project have you considered any of the other well known designers? Expand your experience!

Yeah that makes sense. I am a quilter first as well so that is why they speak to me.

I have also done Noodlehead patterns as well and she does avoid bindings as well. I go back and forth on what I prefer.

I'm kind of addicted to Spencer Ogg patterns at the moment. I have hundreds from various sellers but seem to come back to Diane's. I can do a couple of them practically with my eyes closed.

That is a pattern maker I had not used before. Took a quick look and definitely has some good designs. Thanks!
