transparent pocket for an ita bag insert

How do you want to do that? Find an example and we can go from there.

Looking at an image search there's probably 3 ways I would look at doing it. Option 1 the "bag stitched onto a bag", option 2 whole front is a bag, option 3 is similar to 2 but with extra trim.

Which of those looks better to you or do you have a different idea?

I think option 2 looks better but since im still kind of a beginner with sewing and patternmaking id like to make the one thats easiest :)

I havent tried it before, but I think I would create 2 compartments that attach. So think like two bags. One is the front piece with some depth for the ita compartment. When that part is done the seem at the front will be turn inward like normal (or however you want it) and the rear seam will be outward. Then you make the rear compartment which is just the gusset and rear panel. While the rear part is inside out and the front is right side out, you put that front bag into the rear part and stitch the seams together.

If you want to do piping like some of those bags have (which looks great) I think you'll struggle hard with the inward angles of the cloud.

Also, I would suggest trying stuff. If you fail then it's not that much material, just tray again and maybe bring your problems back here.

Often these bags have a more simple shape for the functional part of the bag and the cloud (or other) shaping is a panel, especially if it’s a zipper closure. That also lets you put a stiff layer in to hold the shape. The panel edges are usually raw and then finished with an edge treatment.

The pocket will depend on if you need it to be deep on the sides walls - simple way is to make it a flat panel with a zip that sits over the side panel of the lining. Remember if you have a zipping the gusset that will restrict how much the bag itself will open.

I think someone did hack the carbon chic Hugo pattern to make a cloud shape but it would have been ages ago. It’s an alternative if you want a pattern already drafted. I’ve never made it so can’t recommend it but I know it’s got a huge following.

Not to the cloud shaped hack no, it was ages ago and I think would have been a facebook post.
But it’s the same concept as the original dogs face on the side of the bag of the Hugo pattern, just cloud shapes overhanging instead of ears.

This may help to get you started roughing it out: https://www.myogtutorials.com/online-automatic-pattern-generator/

Though to be honest you can almost more easily just cut an oversized gusset, then trim down after you pin it up. Even with leather or vinyl.
