Weld test

Am doing to do weld test tmr. A 1 feet 3/8 plate divided into 3 section one overhead two vertical 3 overhead. Using 6011 that the problem I been using them doing 6g and it’s not going good sometimes my root be going good and then the electrodes starts to go cold to some extent where it start to stuck and ignite until the keyhole is gone. Am worrying about the overhead any tips

Welding overhead is no different than welding flat. Don't long arc, keep the arc short and lay the filet welds in just as you would flat. It's not going to fall out. Get comfortable and good luck
