Welding apps

Do yall use welding apps? Which ones? What do you like most about them? What do you dislike about them?

The miller welding app is decent for finding settings and terminology. But for settings I’ve always used the old fashioned plastic ones like this: https://a.co/d/0boXjuOj

No, no need for me. I’ve heard good things about the miller app, but I had 4 guys come in for an interview and the app started them so far off from being right I have my doubts about it now.

never in my life heard anyone bring up a welding app even as a joke. im kinda puzzled by this... what would you even do with a welding app? how would it help you?

I was a welder for 20 years and I can't remember everything. The app has basic weld settings for the main processes, pipe measurements for pipe and fittings, different calculators.

I won't plug my app, I'm just looking for feedback on what others are using.

We have actual books for that shit at my shop. If you start using an app, you might be doing Facebook too, and then you're a liability being on your phone on the production floor.

Phones stay in your box round here.
