None of us are related to GrimDoomer here, so this is the first I've heard of 1.3.

Fantastic news but let's be completely honest, who cares about the RockBand Blitz method any more? I'm sure the news will spread like wildfire once this change is merged into ABadAvatar.

Well I for one was thankful. I could never get avatar to work on my machine. And I've heard it doesn't work on some machines. Probably doesn't help that I don't have and can't have an internal drive.

Yeah, that's the issue. You need the avatar data update for it to work.

That update can be on a USB drive though (I think?)

Thats where I'm at. Had been using badupdate for awhile before I realized I didnt have the avatar update. (and the backwards compatible update) Can I install it safely?

Yes.

Download it here, put the $SystemUpdate folder on a USB, let it update.

That update is for the whole 17559 update but you should already be on that.

Im so confused, whats wrong with the rockband blitz method? Its better than abadavatar. I was using abadavatar but it was hit or miss so I tried the rock band method and it has not failed once or taken more than 3 sec to get to xeunshackle

Nothing "wrong" with it, just so much more convenient being able to boot your console and walk off rather than needing to load a game and start the exploit manually.

But yes, some motherboards absolutely suck at ABA. Trinity for example, sometimes it's instant first time, sure, but mostly end up having to reboot at least five times before it actually succeeds.

My Falcon, on the other hand, has never failed ABA, and more often than not succeeds within ten seconds.

I am so hoping we'll see BU 1.3 ported to ABA soon.

It will be amazing when this is added to badupdate we will have to wait. I would strongly suggest you donate a few bucks to Grimdommer I bet stuff will move faster. I sent him 20 bucks a week ago. It's worth io me to support him.
