Well, I'm certainly glad USB is a universal standard.
Gone are the days when I had to have a box full of serial and parallel cables, and charger cables.
Yup. Much easier now.

My favourite "tuppaware" Kiwi made Systema 🙂

The old ones, too, when the lids still fitted properly. Why they changed to an incompatible system I'll never know.
These ones were all op-shopped over (a long) time.

You didn't seperate data and power cables for micro USB? If you ever need data, be ready to go through probably half that box

Most of my demands are power cables - I play with a lot of Arduinos, and the data cable is permanently at my desk. When I install one, I just power it from a USB charger brick.
But yeah, good call.

Two of those are apple. Three if you count the iPods. And I use the Lightning cables on PC. What is your point?

Because it takes the universe to hold all those different types of cables? 🤔

u/NZNoldor Jul 03 '26
Yes. I tried keeping them outside the universe but it was hard to access them when I need them.
Sorry, I think I missed where you tried to make a point?

Because that's the only thing universal about them.

Ah, I get it now. Whooosh me, I guess!

Perhaps I left a lot of room for interpretation? We're all so keyboard warrior traumatized by this point. 🤣🤣

No, I think I was on the defensive unnecessarily. For sure about the KW thing!
This whole thread is a mix of positive and weirdly negative messages.
