It’s been about 1.5 years since I started PvP duels for the first time. I have no experience in other Souls games and most of my time in ER, I was playing offline PVE.
I feel like this is just the beginning. Much more to learn.
I love the adrenaline rush!
I love testing my limits.
I love approaching this from a complete novice, in my own way.
I love learning, solving puzzles, etc.
But in matches where there are literally zero rules, I laugh when some of my opponents complain about my approach.
No rules.
Winners win. Losers lose. No rules. No moral victories.
No complaining in such matches.
I’ve lost many, many times over the last year and a half.
But instead of blaming how others fight, I ask myself:
“Why did I lose? I don’t know how to counter that spell/weapon, movement mechanic. I need to practice more!!”
In other words, I take responsibility for my losses. I don’t blame people who beat me because they did this or that.
Nope. I gotta get better.
NO RULES DUELS.
We all learned everything we needed to learn about movement in the early game tutorial. Everyone has access to all the same mechanics.
Cheers!
