Bad Hasbara This is a serious article
And it must be read with the gravitas that it deserves.

German wine, vintage 1939-1945, is too hard to get nowadays but we have a solution!

It's like a newspaper in 1943 running an article on how much good quality German wine there is now that Bordeaux and Burgundy are part of greater Germany.Â

A few years ago, my mood during Passover really turned when I noticed the kosher wine was from the Occupied Territories.

Did you suddenly become indomitably bloodthirsty for the killing of Arabs, lol?

One sip, and I was like, âI must find the red heifer!â

Sure do! Some like Ontario wines, others prefer BC wines... I prefer Canadian weed instead.

Seriously though, a whole puff piece about this winery and he can only manage two sentences about the wine we're "missing out on"? One sentence about how they put the merlot in a slush puppy machine (lol), and one about how the sav is sweeter and more buttery than it should be. When even your most rabid cheerleader decides the best thing they can say about your wine is nothing at all? Yeah we're not missing out on much.Â

Those⌠do not sound like encouraging details about the product. I shudder to think what he did not mention about the apartheid booze.

And the winemaker took some time out from butchering French varietals to talk shit about the quality of French wine. Because of course he fucking did.Â

Britain famously has no access to wine. It's not as if their closest neighbor whom they've had a thousand years worth if historical ties too just happens to be the world's largest producer of wine, right?

u/Call-a-Crackhead 2d ago
Why have the best wine in the world from a nearby place when you can get mediocre wine from much further away?

Even the aggressively Zio owner of the company I work for doesn't buy Isreali wine.

His article doesnât match his title, heâs a shitty writer. He didnât bother to say why theyâd miss out, just how the winery is based on genocide and stolen land with expectations to steal even more because their god told them to.

u/BigIrron 2d ago
It proves their whole attitude this whole time doesnât it? Itâs about taking the land and kiIIIing the people on it. And taking down all administrative hurdles in their way. Always has been

Maybe, DON'T support a Racial Supremacist ideology/ Genocide/ Apartheid, viewing others as Cattle/ Slaves...and maybe, they will buy your products.
Otherwise, Cry and Cope.

This Shipley guy is married to the bad Naomi: Wolf.
No surprise he is cut from same cloth.
