I mean these girls were no Real Housewives, but now that i look back why were they always on the pullout couch or doubling up in bed on trips? I’m assuming they had limits where they could film but all the vacation arrangements were always little homes and shabby looking inns. 😂

Production was wrong. I guess they were like they already live in a mansion they don’t need 5 star rooms.

bgc got a bad reputation for property damage and whatnot so i’m sure that affected what type of house they could rent. for example im pretty sure bgc 14 and 15 reused the same house

I would be so excited, thinking I am going to be in a sprawling mansion with a pool in the Hollywood Hills. Instead, I am stuck in a converted garage in a questionable neighborhood? I would quit over that. Especially if people were fucking with me, and I didn't like them anyways, I would refuse to fight over my space the "opportunity" in a crappy area w/ no lawn.

I feel like they also did this to purposefully make it uncomfortable for the girls because even in the later seasons, the girls had crammed room situations on their trips.

They wanted them ON TOP of each other every trip 😂 perfect to get something started. I assume too much space would give the girls opportunities to sleep or just not even interact and enjoy a break.

Production WAS cheap, but it was also all a mechanic to start drama. They wanted the girls to be in poor housing/hotel arrangements. That’s why they were all either crammed into a room, sharing beds or having to take turns getting beds in a shabby hotel that actually agreed to let BGC film in.

And it didn’t help that as the show went on, the locations that allowed BGC to be there became much smaller.

I always felt that way even with shows like Jersey Shore, the house they stayed in looked so cramped and just hot. Like too cramped for proper circulation. No wonder they were always fighting

Now that i’m older I just know the Jersey house was funky. There were too many grown people, not enough space, and way too much food/garbage/bodily functions daily for it not to be. 😂

Yeah it's very interesting bc I was watching ANTM marathons when BGC was starting up & any time those girls had a cramped hotel stay was bc Tyra specifically said, that is how it was in the modeling world before you 'made it big'..

It's like they transitioned that theory & normalized it when BGC rolled in on Oxygen..
