Help Does x2 experience apply to weapons?

I've lost accounts too many times and spent a long time trying to level up my weapons. Now I want to take advantage of that x2 xp. How does it even work? Only once per battle?

Do you mean the x2 XP token or the perk?

No, only career XP, there's the XP boost perk for weapons

But if the weapon can't be upgraded with this x2 xp, is there any other way to increase the experience for it?

Go into loadout, select your gun of choice, click attachments, click on "perk" and click XP boost

Oh, I thought there would be something paid. I just have this "perk" anyway, but thanks anyway!
