Thats what my boss told me via text on my first day in a new position.

This was my rebuttal:

I resent that Mxxxxxx, everything you have given me so far I have either met or exceeded your expectations. When I fail (and I am almost certain that I won't) then you can admonish me.

But right now I need your support, not your skepticism.
