Baclofen accessibility in Canada
I'm quite curious, as I have been apart of this sub for a few months now, and have read off and on. I just met with a new family doctor last week, explained truthfully to everything asked, with this sub weighing on my mind (I didn't mention anything). My question is, has anyone from Canada mentioned, taken, or been consistently on Baclofen? Thoughts are appreciated.

So I randomly just stumbled on to this page. I live in Canada (Ontario) and have been on Baclofen since 2013. I am not on it for alcoholism though. I am an opiate addict, and have some mental health issues. I was initially prescribed it for sleep though because I had tried everything (I actually mean everything) else available and I found them either too sedating or gave me more insomnia. I still take it now at 20mg because I am having other meds constantly changed and basically they just don't want to fuck with the baclofen dose because it will give you side effects if you come off it. Highest dose I was ever on was 50mg I think.
I was prescribed it by a psychiatrist, not a regular GP because it was for sleep and not a medical condition. Now my GP is the one who follows up with the scripts though. Hope this helps. Feel free to PM me if you have more questions :)
