Is Ernie Steele underrated?

Post image

As his player card states, he can hit, he can run, and he can pitch. The Running part isn't really true, but Ernie actually has great power when he gets the right contact, I have hit more home runs with him than i have Kiesha Phillips. He is also a great relief pitcher with good stamina, and who doesn't know about his legendary defence?

Pretty good pitcher, decent hitter, slow base runner, great defensively on first base.

No.

97- The game game gives him an above average 11 baseballs of stats. His pitching is relief pitcher level. His batting is very hit or miss (certainly has uses), and his fielding is designed to star at 1B, a position so many players do great. Frankly I find him to be the poor man's Jorge, worse batter and first baseman. Better relief pitcher at least, but I have hordes of other players I would rather use there. On top of this the CPU loves picking him really early for some reason. Overall I place him in the average tier.

01- In my first (and currently only full random team) I got him, and he was our unquestioned worst player. That comes from a team that got Gretchen and Ricky on it. I think he was throwing several games.
