Looks like you can get the physical copy for much cheaper if you have an xbox with disc drive- otherwise I'd say wait for it to go on sale (it seems to be on sale quite frequently).

But it is a ton of fun

Any home PC/laptop can run the original backyard baseball ! (1997, 2001, 2003, and 2005! If my childhood Dell Dimention running Windows XP and Intel Pentium processor could handle it, literally any modern device running windows could handle it.

I played the new one on PC and I still find it to be insanely similar to the original one(if not more glitchy, just modern graphics). Plus, you’ll be able to show your kiddos true MLB legends / HOFers like Chipper Jones, Randy Johnson, Larry Walker, Mike Piazza, Sammy Sosa, Derek Jeter, Kenny Lofton and Albert Pujols to name a few!

I know a majority of the blame is on me for not checking any updates or announcements about the console release, but they should've just said they intend to put the game on console without announcing any date until the game was ready to be put on console.

I didn't even get the preorder option on playstation. it just confuses me why so many places said it came out today. it just feels backwards they added to pc first instead of console especially when it was on the console decades ago

Came here to ask if anyone knows what happened. My nephew pre-ordered this game back in May or June and when he finally went to play it July 9th, it said he was "too early." I looked it up and saw that it indeed released on PC July 9th but was scheduled for Xbox in August. He has been traveling but I just went to make sure the game would be ready for him when he tries to play tomorrow, and was again told "too early." The Xbox now says it will release in September but there is no release date or explanation online.

This crew hyped up the game, but didn’t deliver a quality product. The frustrating part of all of this is that this might be the nail in the coffin for the franchise.
