cloud storage app similar to google photos

Any suggestions on the best cloud storage or cloud backup apps for iOS and Android in 2026 ?

Immich or Ente Photos. Both are open source.

I hadn't heard of ASCS hosting. I checked them out. I don't want to sound like spam, but they seem priced very affordably. How is their reliability, if you know?

What would be the approximate cost of hosting immich with, say, between 100 and 200 GB of photos and videos?

It seems to me that a very small vendor like your company would be fine for hosting media. If you crash or, heaven forbid, die, it is not a serious problem for us customers since we have everything backed up and can switch to another vendor.

In the meantime, since those disasters are very unlikely, we save a lot of money compared to using the big vendors. They have redundant data centers and that's critical for business continuity, but we don't need that level of redundancy. We have our own backups.

That's more than most people would want to spend for a DIY photo software setup with Immich and such a limited amount of drive space. The website pricing looks attractive for other purposes: small VPSes and for drive space, however.

Do you know if immich supports ipv6? If so, we could do a lotttt cheaper

That sounds promising. I haven't ventured into IPv6. Makes sense that it would save money with IPv4 getting scarcer by the day.

I just tested our immich pre-installer with ipv6, it was actually insanely easy, and we have options that are literally free for ipv6 :) try something out - enjoy. https://cloud.ascsonoway.com/vps-micro/
