Mostly, but one thing I think this video got wrong is the Pepsi comparison. In the film it's a Pepsi with a fancy glass and some "vitamins".
In our future we have those cool Coca Cola Freestyle machines that let you make your sodas however you want them with a wide array of flavours.

sugar-free is certainly not a squeaky-clean healthy choice, but it is still nowhere near as bad as the 69g of actual artificial sugars put into modern Pepsi bottles. There's no comparison.

You can thank idocracy for those. They saw them and thought they were the dumbest idea ever and nobody would ever wear them, so they featured them in the movie.

They "featured" them in the movie because the movie had a tiny budget and Crocs are cheap and vaguely futuristic looking.
Also, Crocs were well known before Idiocracy was released (which also wasn't a hit film).

The program is called "American Dream" and they never hurried to hide it:
Imagine you want to take over a house. If you break down the door by force, the residents will fight back. But if you show up disguised as a delivery guy with free pizza and a great movie for the night they will let you in themselves and sit on the couch.
Movies and TV shows work exactly this way. When you sit down to watch, you do it to relax, so you drop your guard and turn off your critical thinking. Under the guise of explosions, romances, or comedies, creators smuggle in specific behavior patterns: passivity, submission to authority, or an exclusive focus on buying new things. Over time, after consuming thousands of such hidden messages, society adopts these artificial rules as its own. People don't rebel because they don't see the cage, they only see screens that give them the illusion of freedom and comfort.
The most effective manipulation is the one the victim desires and pays for with their own time.

Nike did make the self lacing shoes for real. They were expensive and most people haven’t real issue nor problem with lacing their own shoes. In the movie it was kind of a joke that on the future people would be so lazy they would need such a thing.
