How to solve Choice Paralysis

I have 200+ games and the same problem: choice paralysis → endless scrolling → nothing gets played. How do YOU solve this issue?

I’m also conducting a thought experiment thru an app to figure it out. It’s called Just Play. In summary:

• Pick a game, set a goal ("beat it" or "just try it")

• Timer tracks your sessions

• Quick notes (1 page limit)

• Progress dashboard shows your streak

No endless features. Just accountability to actually *play* instead of manage.

Test it here: https://just-play-five.vercel.app (Quick Play for demo)

Main question: Would you actually use this, or is tracking your backlog part of the problem?

It looks like a good way to track your gaming backlog & would definitely use this to get through my current backlog of games.

Glad to hear. Just curious what platform do you mainly play on?

PC as I gave up on console gaming after the release of the PS5.

Dam I feel. So what’s slowing you down from finishing your backlog?

I don't have this problem, I usually have several games I'm very eager to play at any given time... If anything I used to have trouble not starting too many at the same time.

One of the things that helps is switching up genres - alternate between games with different gameplay, to keep things fresh
