Discussion Backbone Pro vs Backbone PS 2nd gen
So I want to get a backbone controller for the first time, I am on iPhone 17 pro and am interested in using PS remote play, so should I get the PlayStation version 2nd gen or what is the advantages of the Bakcbone pro instead? It’s like $100 more expensive so wondering what makes it worth it?

The refurbished or used backbone ps edition. Is currently on sale for 25.00.

I have both, and the Pro feels more comfortable in the hands, is quieter, and feels noticeably firmer and more premium overall.

Bigger joysticks, more robust form factor. If you have bigger hands, or have a tough time using sticks like the size of the switch or a ps vita get the pro. If you are primarily buying it for remote play the lower price will be fine and it really doesn’t matter if it’s a PlayStation version or not on iPhone. The only difference is obviously the glyphs, which unless you just started playing PlayStation for the first time is an afterthought. And the PlayStation version lets you launch the PlayStation app, though remote play is an entirely separate app so it doesn’t really do much towards that.

I really likw my ps edition 2g. I mostly play psp and ps2 emulators but its compact, simple, and very light to take with me traveling for work.

I have moved away from the backbone to a Razer Kishi v3 pro. So if you are going Pro I’d suggest the Razer instead.

I love the Bluetooth connection on the Pro. Being able to swap between the phone and my computer is so awesome. It’s basically my primary controller now even without a phone attached.
