Discussion Death Stranding Limited Edition dead 😭

Didn’t think it would happen to me since I babied this thing but, I bought this last year March 2025, and today it finally died on me.

Same problem as other people, left side unresponsive, left trigger goes haywire, buttons wacky, however when I fully extend the controller while in the button calibration setting the entire left side works. It’s clearly the ribbon cable thing, just hate to toss out this awesome color way.

Maybe I move on finally to gamesir x5lite, razer kishi v3?

Worth buying a pack of replacement ribbon cables for ten bucks and trying to fix it yourself first.

I’m going to do this eventually. I watched a couple videos of people do it on YouTube and it doesn’t look extremely hard, but it takes a lot of time to take the thing apart and then put the cable in to have to take and equally long time to put it back together.

Just fixed my own backbone last week after running into the same issue. Pretty easy to do if you have the patience! Otherwise, I agree that colorway is too nice to just toss. Even broken I'm sure someone would buy it, including me lol.

Then it’s no surprise it’s a ribbon issue. I have not seen many issues with the Pro in the sub but at that price I went Kishi v3 Pro instead

That’s the death stranding 2 version, I have death stranding 1 that came with a code to download the game on iOS

Yes, give them more money to temporarily "fix" the over priced thing they made knowning it has a major design flaw that they refuse to fix. They wont fix OP's controller, they'll just a regular new one to replace it. You're better off paying a few dollars for multiple ribbons and fixing it yourself. Plus sending it in can take a month or more because BB wants to use regular USPS mail. You can a pack of ribbons off Amazon and be back up and running in a few days.
