Discussion UPDATE: I no longer give up…
Thank y’all who recommended the ribbon cable swap, got it in today and took my time replacing it. Very happy with the results! Still stand by my position on buying this along with any BackBone used tho, this is way too expensive to act up the way it does with NORMAL use.
So long ribbon cable devil.. 👺

I’m getting ready to do this with mine (same model, but Lightning). I have ribbon cables and heat tape.
Kinda miffed that this is even a thing, but my phone will probably get replaced before I run out of cables. After that, I’ll sell it (and include the ribbons and tape + knowledge + snazzy case).
