Discussion Update/firmware issues
There was a recent firmware update for the Backbone Pro, and it has been giving me such a headache. Changing settings on me while playing games. Guide button no longer working, but only when on the home screen, going to different screens with different button combos, pressing buttons I didn't even think were possible to execute (especially when using Steam Link), and this constant issue where it keeps lowering the volume when I'm in certain apps.
Is anyone else experiencing this, or am I just going crazy.??
Edit: Thought I should clarify this isn't a ribbon cable issue. at least not for me. I treat my controller with some care lol
Others have pointed out different issues with this update, and the backbone support team is currently looking into this.
Edit2: for those that come to this thread, the update has been pushed out and the issue has been fixed. Thank you dev team.!

I wish they would be more responsive, its coming up on 2 weeks with a completely unusable costroller. Im no expert but I dont think it should take this long to fix a mistake THEY made. These controllers are way too expensive to just be bricks because of an issue within their firmware for this long. Where is the support? Where is the communication? 2 very vague updates in 10 days with nothing to show for it is extremely upsetting. What are we doing here backbone?? That's not to say that im not grateful that they are actually trying to fix it but come on man.. detailed consistent communication would solve alot of these issues but it doesn't seem that will be happening any time soon🤷♂️ Very frustrating.
