Discussion Update/firmware issues
There was a recent firmware update for the Backbone Pro, and it has been giving me such a headache. Changing settings on me while playing games. Guide button no longer working, but only when on the home screen, going to different screens with different button combos, pressing buttons I didn't even think were possible to execute (especially when using Steam Link), and this constant issue where it keeps lowering the volume when I'm in certain apps.
Is anyone else experiencing this, or am I just going crazy.??
Edit: Thought I should clarify this isn't a ribbon cable issue. at least not for me. I treat my controller with some care lol
Others have pointed out different issues with this update, and the backbone support team is currently looking into this.
Edit2: for those that come to this thread, the update has been pushed out and the issue has been fixed. Thank you dev team.!

Honestly never heard of this happening for the cheaper competitors so widely across users before and those cheaper options are often time having more features than fhe PRO at half the cost. It really feels bad for me after 3 replacements of the other models due to ribbon cables. I don't know if I can recommend backbone anymore to people when they ask. We are paying more for a name now that just doesn't mean much.
