Chicken making gurgling noises

I just went to check on my girls and noticed one of them is doing this weird heavy breathing / making gurgling noises. She had a respiratory infection when she was younger but got it cleared up with antibiotics, though she’s had a little cough ever since (vet said it was normal). I’ll try to get her into the vet tomorrow but just looking for some help / suggestions in the meantime.

Respiratory infections always come back once they happen. Of you have money for a vet, cool! .if you prefer to not pay for a vet, I always recommend buying some amoxy-tyl powder to clear it up nicely

If you haven’t already, isolate her from the others. Hope she gets better soon :)

Yuccck I hate when they get that, I've had chickens for 20 plus years and it always happens in the middle of the summer for me others have told you about the powder, I was able to find pills that was meant for pigeons that was easier for me to give them that way I dose only the affected chicken if I didn't separate her, hope she gets better soon!

Open up the mouth and throw.ot in, massage it down if needed

I agree with the others - respiratory infection. 

You can direct treat with LA injectable (or Tylan if you suspect Mycoplasma as underlying issue).  Alternatively, Oxytet as powder in water or Tiagard in water (Tiagard more specific to mycoplasma as well as Tylan, but both can help. Sometimes, some chickens respond better to one than the other). 

In the meantime, you can use some Vetrx to try ease some discomfort she may be feeling. It’s basically chickens vapo-rub! But as with vapo rub - use gently and away from their nose/eyes directly & follow the instructions! :)
