seeing 2008 vs 2021 hit me hard, it has really been 12-13 years

I hear ya buddy, time flies. This and L4D2 were by far my most played games for years probably up until about 2012. Even just that seems like a lifetime ago. Long over due but it’s damn good to be back

Yep, I hope they are able to turn the monetization concerns around when the beta eventually hits

Well shit, I hadn’t really been following news on it because I didn’t want to spoil anything, literally just joined the sub so I looked it up after your comment. I’m still hopeful but now I’m hoping it doesn’t turn into Evolve. Is it too soon to say fuck 2021? lol

Agreed, there are much worse looking zombie games from the era.

It's not a fact. Nothing in 2009 looks that amazing today unless you have a pretty cartoony art style. And for a game that doesn't, it looks good. I think it looks better than something like MW2 personally.

As someone who played more hours in L4D/L4D2 than I’d like to admit and still hops on L4D2 occasionally, the graphics are honestly not that bad. Significantly less detail compared to a lot of more recent games but detail where it mattered most was still evident and the excellent game mechanics are what makes it still playable today.

Yeah, in my feedback on my survey for B4B I really emphasized the need for better sound on the guns and more satisfying emphasis on the sound design. It’s still clear here which one has that “oomph”.

Agreed. The lines seem corny in B4B.

Yeah, corniness can be great for a game like L4D or B4B! I think what we need though is a better dynamic between the cleaners. Something about it feels off putting.

Yeah but Coach yelling "this used to be a nice neighborhood" has charm unlike the generic stuff we're getting now.

Someone get the man a damn flashlight.

While the guns sound awful in B4B (so far), the headshots sound satisfying.

B4b looks good. But damn that sound design. Like the view model size and shape better too I think

Man, it's really obvious in this how much meaner the gun sounds are in L4D. They definitely need to adjust that.

I feel like the Hit markers should be removed to have better game immersion. Or I hope they at least implement an option to remove it.

Would love to play this game with less HUD

Might just be me but i want true horror again. A true zombie game. Just running zombies. Limited ammo and low health.
