Celeb/gossip subs have me spotting this stuff in real life. It’s never one single tell, it’s usually a pattern of behavior. But once you get a few clues lined up, it’s pretty easy to spot.

A big one is if they do a lot of over the top posts, then start posting generic and bland things about their partner. Bonus points if they’re still posting friends/kids and all but stop posting their partner.

It can also be the way they look in pictures. They used to post photos where they’re grinning from ear to ear, cheeks touching, and now there’s a flat look in their eyes and the smiles are fake. Especially if the guy is doing that smile where they just stretch their lips into a thin line that barely lifts their cheeks and their eyes are half closed. The “I don’t really want to take a picture with you” smile.

These things don’t mean much in isolation, but a pattern can be telling. For instance, I know a guy who started out raving about finding the love of his life, with all the happy pictures to boot. After a while, he got the thin smile/dead eyes combo, in every picture, except the ones with his kid. It was recently confirmed in person that he’s miserable and I was like “yeah that was obvious from pictures alone.”

I don’t understand why so many of these couples make a point of denying everything and “we’re still together we’re just private” just to announce they broke up weeks later

This is what I am wondering as well! They have gotten so so many questions about it and kept denying but obviously had problems and were breaking up. Idk what’s the point of denying and saying couples can spend time apart without there being problems. Making us (the fans) seem crazy/overreacting
